Edinburgh Mela

The Edinburgh Mela, a vibrant, joyous riot of sounds, sights, colours and tastes in the heart of Edinburgh. We’re here to challenge your senses with Bhangra beats, delicious food, family fun, global fashion and some utterly amazing music, dance and theatre, all on one site!

The Edinburgh Mela seeks to embrace all its diverse communities and cultures, providing a showcase and development opportunities for artists from within those groups, working alongside artists of national and international stature.

The aim is to provide a high quality festival of music, dance and the wider arts from around the world, with the express purpose of promoting understanding between people and advancing the cause of community coherence.

The things our audience love are still present and correct: our Global Food Village will still be there to tempt you with tastes and aromas from all over the world; our ever-popular fashion show is bigger than ever this year, and we’ve got some of the hottest Bhangra stars and biggest beats around on our music stages.

A day pass to the Edinburgh Mela costs £3, although entry is free for children aged 12 and under.
