Edinburgh Airport is Scotland's capital airport. More than 40 airlines serve 100-plus destinations and some nine million passengers a year pass through the airport – figures which are set to grow as Scotland's international connections develop.
It is located on the western edge of Edinburgh about 7 miles from the city centre.

Getting to and from Edinburgh Airport
Edinburgh Airport is easily reached by public transport or by road (postcode EH12 9DN). The airport is about eight miles (12km) west of the city centre. If you're traveling into Edinburgh, find out about costs and journey times.
Buses to Edinburgh and other local destinations stop on the terminal forecourt, outside the main entrance.
- Airlink 100 Edinburgh airport shuttle bus leaves from Waverley Bridge (outside Waverley Station) with stops at Shandwick Place, Haymarket Station, and more. Runs 24 hrs a day every 10 to 20 mins (with N22 night bus every 30 mins - £3 flat fare). Tickets are £3.50 single, and £6 return, with 25 to 30 minutes journey time.
- Lothian Buses service 35 runs every 15 mins (30 mins evenings and Sundays) to the city centre and on to Ocean Terminal, but takes a more leisurely hour long. Single tickets are £1.20 and day ticket £3. Visit Lothian Buses website
- A journey to the city centre typically takes about 25 minutes. Many taxis are wheelchair accessible. Taxis are from £15 to £25 return.
- The tram service from Leith and Edinburgh City Centre to the airport is not yet operational.
